An ode to hope
Keep the faith. Never stop believing things will get better.
The blessings of the man upstairs will hit better.
Keep the faith. Ignore the devils deceiving you.
Instead focus on the angels who believe in you.
You can overcome any obstacle. You’re a demon slayer.
The battleground is on your hands and knees is prayer.
No matter how much you get abused you’ll never lose.
Make sure the path of faith is what you choose.
Faith begins where it seems like the battle never ends.
As long as you never give up you will forever win.
In the battle let your heat be faith. Never give up no matter what. Keep the faith.

As an educator, our professional development sessions often reference the Kauai study. It showed that faith was one of the very top predictors of resilience in children who have experienced trauma. My faith has certainly been the most healing thing for me.
