An abecedarian poem

Aura of gushing steam shrouds you;

Boiling world rumbles and forces

Crust cracks and explosions to make

Danger. Danger!

Emissions echo and rise in plumes,

Fermenting the air.

Ground mutates:

Highs and lows;

I'm watching you being

Jumped on by bears.

Kamchatka.

Listen to your name:

Magnificent for magnificence.

Nomenclature notwithstanding, you are representative

Of a place unknown,

Peculiar with your perspiring pores of Earth's steam,

Quenched by the land with your

Rivulets.

Something about you

Tempts me.

Unusual?

Very.

Wild? Yes!

Xenial? No.

You are

Zendik, a magician.

    Zendik? Is that a hidden reference to the American writer and activist or just a bit of fun? I liked it regardless.

  • Oooo, zendik! That's a new word for me! Your Abecedarian was so wonderful!
