sing to my soul tides of old
cradle my spirit in your lull
breathing in the spray of time
i drink the wisdom of ancient brine
mirroring my seeking eyes
About the Creator
Kristen Balyeat
Words fly to me on the wind, bump into me as I'm strolling the city, splash me in the face while I rest by the river, and shake me awake in the middle of the night—I’m humbly one of the vessels they use to come to life.
Also, i love you:)

What a flowing reflection!
Your poem breathes the ocean, you show reverence to its wisdom, that it was here long before we came to be, and that’s so wonderful to see. I especially like the imagery of how the ocean mirrors our eyes back to us, it speaks volumes of your attention to detail.
This piece glitters. Beautiful work.
