Live your life by these you can’t go wrong

Just Three Little Rules

I live my life by three small rules

not carved in stone or taught in schools

no wisdom book, no holy text

just truths I lean on when I’m vexed

I hear no evil, close that door

no gossip dragging through my floor

no whispers thick with spite or spin

I let no poison voices in

I see no evil, turn away

from things that twist the light of day

no eyes for malice, shame, or lies

I won’t give darkness any rise

I speak no evil, hold my tongue

no curse for old wounds left unsung

no need to add to hate or fear

I speak what lifts, or else stay clear

So simple, yes, but still I try

these three small rules to live life by

they keep my peace, they clear my name

they guard my heart from bitter flame
