Sometimes I wish

In the depths of the darkness

That there could’ve been more

That there could’ve been two

Instead of just me

Sometimes I wish

I didn’t feel quite like an outsider

He’s got her

And she’s got him

But there’s just me

Sometimes I wish

I had someone who understood

Someone who was there

To go through it with me

But it’s just me

Sometimes I wish

I wasn’t so jealous

Or so utterly lonely

It’s no one’s fault

It’s just me

Sometimes I wish

I could just shut up

Keep it all to myself

So I wouldn’t scare them away

So it wouldn’t just be me
