Just a Friend
A Beacon in Life’s Journey

In a world vast and often cold,
I seek a heart of purest gold.
A friend to share both joy and tears,
To walk beside through fleeting years.
Not riches, fame, nor grand delight,
But simple warmth on a starry night.
A hand to hold when storms arise,
A beacon under darkened skies.
In laughter’s echo, sorrow’s sigh,
A friend to stand by, never deny.
With trust as deep as oceans wide,
A safe harbor where hearts confide.
In whispers soft and silence shared,
A bond that shows how much we cared.
For in this life, its twists and bends,
All I wish is just a friend.
With open hearts and open minds,
A friendship true, the rarest finds.
In every smile, in every tear,
A friend who’s always standing near.
Through silent nights and sunlit days,
A friend who walks life’s winding maze.
In moments grand or mundane blend,
A constant presence, start to end.
For in this quest, it’s clear to see,
The truest gift is loyalty.
No treasure greater could life send,
Than the gift of just a friend.
So here’s my plea, my simple call,
For a friendship to encompass all.
In this journey, come what may,
A friend to share both night and day.
