angry june of i only want to care better but can’t

make myself into something not broken. the universe

is the stone that water eats and everything requires

believing because some of us don’t know

how to forgive what changes us. i’m thinking

there’s a world hidden under this one maybe

as wind settles on the steady beach

of there are many lives living inside us

and not everything is storm. messages

travel our blood less but also closer,

and each new life is an arrow

of light like the question mark

of having to apologize for love not

giving us eyes to see inside each other.
