June 19th, 1865. The oppressed finally had a taste of what it meant to thrive.
June 19th, 1865. It seemed the ancestors would finally get to live their dream.
June 19th, 1865. Words of liberty were spoken and chains were broken.
June 19th, 1865. Young Black boys and girls entered a new world in search of pearls.
June 19th, 1865. Melanated children entered a new beginning and finally started winning.
June 19th, 1865. A legacy began of new days and new nights that would lead to new fights for new rights.
June 19th, 1865. The day a true miracle arrived. Oh what a time it was to be alive.
