Along the ripples, morning's silver winds blow, I can't see the other side yet
I do know, that you are sitting over there worrying about me, in between
Rising waves of our ever broadening sea ~
Judy Blue,
From sunny yellow our world turned grey, all so quickly in the matter of a day. Months before you sat with me smiling, reading through winter's dark, your brown eye's so beguiling.
Your generous gestures I took for granted, silly antics all off-handed: now all I do is long to see your pretty face across from me.
How fast the colours of our lives turn hues, from sunny yellow to fading blues. ~
Along the ripples, morning's silver winds blow, I can't see the other side yet
I do know, that you are sitting over there worrying about me, in between
Rising waves of our ever broadening sea ~

This is such a tender and beautifully written piece, it feels both nostalgic and heartbreaking.

I love the use of color in this to heighten emotions. Amazing!
“How fast the colors of our lives turn hues”. This is a gorgeous poem, Andrea. It’s a great reminder to take nothing for granted
From sunny yellow our world turned grey, all so quickly in the matter of a day- lovely imagery and it reflects the natural passage of day to night--and the hardships of long distance friendships
"How fast the colours of our lives turn hues, from sunny yellow to fading blues." That is soooo true. Loved your poem!
A wonderful tale of love and friendship
