Judged Before You Even Know

A poem

By Benjamin Alexander HousePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I hate being judged before I’m known; I hate the way I judge in turn.

Taught never to quite be happy as I was, the idiot who doesn’t learn.

The thing which hurts the most, unfortunate to trust.

There will come a time a knife in you is thrust.

And the one holding the handle becomes quite plain to see.

Your killer is your loved one, ignoring heartfelt pleas.

You ask why and you really shouldn’t.

The answer might make you cry, a handle on truth you couldn’t.

What to do?

Being judged without fact leaves one so blue.

heartbreak
