I walk up and down the yard
Waiting for my chance with the herd
All keeping such a distance
Too far for me to hear their words
They run in fear and disgust
I don't know why
But I feel their distress
Always giving me a wide berth
So I go about my business
Finally gathering up
At least one or two companions
Until we are all led to slaughter
Except somehow
I walk out the other side
Bewildered

This poem really captures the feeling of isolation and the struggle to understand why others keep their distance. The ending, with the narrator walking out the other side, adds an interesting layer of survival and confusion. It makes me think about how we sometimes unknowingly avoid others or find ourselves in situations we don't fully understand.
Exceptionally done <3
Nice one
