Hot cocoa so richly sweet,
Gingerbread cookie floating buoyantly,
Mini marshmallows and peppermint stick, what a treat!
Nestled in a wintery Teddy Bear mug so joyously.
***
Left by the Christmas tree,
With yummy morsels, an extra surprise,
Waiting to be hugged by thee,
Before the chocolate heat dies.
***
Peppermint candies and mints,
With white chocolate kisses, minty too,
Raspberry shortbread cookie with sugary crystals, just a hint,
Harmonious chocolate treat, one must pursue.
***
Snowflakes dancing outside,
Like a fairytale winter bride.
***
The children pour in,
From their playful sledding excursion,
Chilled from taking their sleds out for a spin,
Aromas of chocolate, peppermint, cinnamon in dispersion.
***
A whipping off of snowsuits and boots,
On the fly, to race to the hot desserts,
That is standing by the decorated spruce,
Sounds of excited footsteps were in concert.
***
Enticing heavenly cocoa sweets,
Wrapped about the youthful persons,
As they took their seats,
To dive into this hot chocolate and candy versions.
***
A choir of sips and slurps,
Rang out with a few velvety burps.
***
Chocolate mustaches,
Sticky fingers,
Crumbs left like fireplace ashes,
Innocent sugar highs that lingers.
***
A full afternoon spent,
With swirling sled rides,
Indulging on blissful goodies that left a scent,
Of cheerful Christmas vibes.
