Joy Unbound
Wonderland Challenge day 15 "Adventure"
just as the last blast of heat
runs out of gas underneath my
coated canvas sheet
you give another hearty yank
sending the flame shooting
high inside my globe
creating a massive
boost in temperature and altitude
𓂃 ོ☼𓂃
I rocket upwards
the moment before
we come crashing down
upon the ground
your feet almost grazing grass
inside a basket woven flat
𓂃 ོ☼𓂃
I picture that reckless
smile on your face
like a game
a bounding race
across the landscape
who are you trying to
overtake?
𓂃 ོ☼𓂃
you know how to give
a spectacular show
I'm in ambient awe
that I should get to
see or know this perfect view
that our escapade should
continue unabated
a wild ride across
the sky of life
𓂃 ོ☼𓂃
that even
if it comes smashing in
for a landing
you will have given me
the most exhilarating experience
in this scurrilous life

Vivid imagery of a fantastic adventure. I’ve never been in a hot air balloon, but think it would be amazing.
This is so fun! Have you ever experienced a hot air balloon ride? I have a terrible fear of heights and flying so I can never see myself doing it. But I feel like you brought it to life so well here - interwoven with emotion and someone else being in control of all that hot air.
