her eyes like two black hot coals

they reflect the whole wide world

mischief weaving rainbow streaks

wide-brimmed sun shelter, turquoise-cold pool

and sunglasses to cool

fiery blood

fur filled with joy

the other dogs could be jealous of our love

they flock behind the gate

no entry, I’m afraid

love poems

Short, vivid, and full of warmth—this one sparkles with love and exclusivity! Jessica sounds like a special soul (or pup?). Loved it!

  • For me it is now three kittens with eyes of greenish grey. And I fully embrace the sentiment.
