Jack the Ripper

Ripping through the alphabet

By Sam H ArnoldPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

Amidst the alleys, dark and dreary,

Baffled bobbies, start appealing.

Clad in shadows the killer is near,

Dastardly deeds, Jack they fear

Everywhere he went, a wicked spree,

Frightening folks, with such glee.

Gory tales spread like a sea,

Hapless victims, no decree.

Innocence lost, on cobbled streets,

Jack's antics, where terror meets.

Keen on chaos, no retreats,

Lurking low, his plan repeats.

Mirthful whispers, a Ripper's jest,

Nabbed by no one, a cat and mouse quest.

Ominous nights, a Ripper's fest,

Panic reigns, in London's west.

Quietly he strikes, under gaslight's hum,

Roguish chuckles, a killer's drum.

Sinister giggles, fingers numb,

Tales of terror, throughout the slum

Underneath the moonlit sky,

Voracious shadows, Jack's supply.

With great laughter, no reply

Xenial whispers, the Ripper's high.

Yearning victims, beware the blade,

Zany footsteps in the Ripper's parade.
