It Would be a Shame

to not know

Unless you live in dunes of sand without a luscious green lawn to call yours

Or can't imagine an after-mow smell of watermelon scent with its cures

Or know of the simultaneous crunch and cushion of grass beneath bare feet

Or hear the gleeful laughter a warm summer breeze brings to beat the heat

You won't have the fresh taste of a single blade of green between your teeth
