It Was All A Dream

For Poppy's Prompt #8

By Nafisa AshrafPublished about a year ago 1 min read

So I dreamt I was soaring.

Above the clouds that looked like candy floss made of sugar.

As I floated amidst the sea of white,

I watched a bird fly right by me.

Yet, why couldn't I see what bird it was?

And then suddenly I started falling.

As if gravity gained sudden control over my body,

I fell.

I woke up on my bed right then.

As if just to prove,

that it was all a dream.

Lovely poem. I love it when I dream I’m flying… so disappointing to wake up 🥹
