It was a Moment

By Natalie SpackPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

You looked so cool with your shades on

Never taking them off, not even once.

You offered me a seat in the crowd,

Smiled at me and I was like, "Wowwww."

-

It was a moment

Oh a moment

I won't soon forget.

Like a meteor shower exploding the night sky

Gone before I can explain why;

-

It was just a moment.

-

Some people you only meet once

Like a gold accent in a silver display.

I hope I always remember this day;

When crowds rushed the streets

And inside you offered me a seat

Among strangers. Suddenly,

A spark returned to this cold city.

-

I'll never see you again

Unless fate is my friend.

Regardless,

I'll still look for you in coffee shops

And Starbucks lines that are way too long.

We shared a genuine laugh.

I'll always remember that.

-

It was a moment

Oh a moment

I won't soon forget.

Like a meteor showing

Exploding the night sky

Gone before I understand why,

-

It was just a moment.
