It's You

The Door

By MeMe Happy!Published 8 years ago 1 min read

I say no.

You don't listen.

I scream no.

You all of a sudden look at me and are appalled and want to "keep your distance."

I don't think you understand how you make the situation flip, spin and change to whatever you want it to be.

It's all so suddenly turned on me. As if I've ruined everything.

Your intentions were never to "communicate" with me.

You wanted to listen and hear yourself speak.

Who knows better than you ...

Certainly no one.

You've chased your words up and down a hill, making yourself so full off of your self-indulgence.

I hope you make yourself sick one day.

I hope your self pity makes you vomit.

I hope you wake up.

I hope you understand that making people feel obsolete to fit your own agenda is selfish and sad.

Part of me wants to have pity on you. To maybe, teach you what its like to treat people with dignity.

But you.

You have made me so bitter towards you.

I would almost think to say I hate you but that'd give you more power.

More ammunition to use against me.

I think not to divulge my negative feelings towards you they won't help you change.

Just know that you are the reason why my door is heavy.

You are the reason why it's so heavy, making people think I'm closed.

I am open but they'd have to unlock the locks.

I close myself up because of you after the mandatory hours.

Maybe "The Door" was my fault too.

I had no door, so you walked right in.

The door was added and you swung it open, made yourself at home and wouldn't leave.

Now you're enraged that I've locked it.
