It’s more

Close your eyes I’m sure that you’ll see

And take me with you

So what you see

I can see

How you breath

I will breath

What you feel

Is unease

And the truest of words

Makes the nonbelievers -

Believe

But a shade of mine

Is no shame upon you

For the light that I give

shines

so greatly in you

You see me at night

When the stars are aligned

I crave to be loved

Like some crave for more time

how can I be so misunderstood

By the means beyond me

So majestic

To grow

A foundation, Like trees

And as leaves float

In the night sky like our skin

It relives the time

It was one with its kin

Golden our paths

Intertwine

But within

In our self we do see

But what’s more than gold

And weighs less than tin

And brings you beauty

It’s love and happiness

Not cruel and wicked

We value our melanin
