It's getting wet outside...
Day 20 | 25 Days of Poetry Challenge
Pitters and patters
All seemingly chatters
By water spirits awake
The day is chipped
By a gentle, teething grip
And the Greys and Blues
Settle the soul…
A placid stir...
The swish and swirl
Outside in the world
Brings a bath of laughs and ducks
The dirt had its place, its turn, its fun
But now the showers have begun:
To bloom…
Bashful roses unfold to invisible currents
Untold: stories of weak-kneed unions by discreet rivers
Petals flushed, loose to piercing winds
Lose to piercing winds
It rains in pink.
Trunks stroked:
divine tracing ,
familiar,
flowing,
Rediscovering: wet on wet painting…
The knowing of water digs deep without trying,
runs deep -
Dark soils of renewal
Home births to seedlings of love
Of children of Passion
Taking to Water and Wind.
This poem is part of a series of 25 daily word experiments I am committing to for the month of October. The motto: “Sometimes garbage, sometimes sweet, not fun everyday, but everyday anyway!” Intrigued to experience what can be created (and discovered) in the process of developing a consistent writing practice, I will be writing a poem a day until my Vocal+ subscription ends at the end of the month. Only 5 days left! Let’s gooooo!
