ttt these
fuzzy friends
Do the flip and flop
Lingering
Tingling
Spines
Necks
And tops of heads: ttt
With them
There’s no such thing as a one-way pet
And the way they embrace,
embody the wind is priceless.
Find them at the ends
Edges of/
Bookmarks
Table runners
Shower curtains
Sweater zippers
Key chains
Silly strings can go anywhere!
Even the tippy tops of grassy fields!
I think fairy spirits are really real.
I think they live inside tassels.
Their moody, gentle spark feels like
One soul, almost
I’m sure they both came from
The same ball of string
These fritzy friends go
Wayyy back to the first knot:
The Moirai in cozy socks...
This poem is part of a series of 25 daily word experiments I am committing to for the month of October. The motto: “Sometimes garbage, sometimes sweet, not fun everyday, but everyday anyway!” Intrigued to experience what can be created (and discovered) in the process of developing a consistent writing practice, I will be writing a poem a day until my Vocal+ subscription ends at the end of the month. We are more than halfway there! Let’s gooooo!
