It's complicated

Mental love is self love

By Nala Grayson (Patterson)Published 5 years ago 1 min read

Learning to love myself

It is as hard as understanding mental health

Learning to love someone else

This is where we ignore one's self

Depending on the partner

Both parties have an open-mind

Both can learn to be each others gardener

Self healing can happen in time

Not saying you need another's support

Though they are always welcome

Don't let your values fall short

Nor lose your own labellum

Speck to one's mind about the things you've done

It's never too late to self address

Past, present and what is soon to come

Look near you, remain inner values at distress

If it's too hard to see your own reflection

Ask your parents or read past work from school

You'll see the growth, and your own affection

Forgetting our timeline is a self healing traveling tool.

Your past is a self review

Your present is driven by self value

Your future is an unseen view

In time, you'll learn that you are loved by you.
