It's A Hard Life

Working The Coal Mines

By Marie381Uk Published 6 years ago 1 min read

It’s a hard life for me by heck it is

So much to do makes my head Whiz

Its a hard life by heck it is

so much to do puts me in a tizzy

I am a pit brow girl I work with mucky coal

It’s is better than my dad he works down the hole

when my day is done, I go home to help my mam,

Sometimes our main main meal’s only bread and jam

Its a hard life but I know no-other

There is only one of my lot, not work the pit

That person is, my Dear old Mother
