It Lingers III

A chilling sight to witness, a tale of darkness told.

By Forever MidnightPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

In the heart of the horror, amidst the twisted scene,

The little girl sits alone, lost in a waking dream.

Surrounded by the echoes of her family's demise,

Her soul consumed by darkness, her innocence now lies.

Her white dress stained with blood, her hands trembling and cold,

A chilling sight to witness, a tale of darkness told.

Her eyes, once bright with wonder, now empty and devoid,

Reflect the soulless void where the demon's whispers toyed.

As the neighbors stumble upon the scene of dread,

They recoil in horror at the sight of the dead.

Their screams pierce the silence, echoing through the night,

But the girl remains unmoving, lost in her soul's blight.

Driven by morbid curiosity, they draw near,

Unaware of the danger, of the demon's wicked leer.

Their footsteps falter as they approach the scene,

Their fate sealed by the darkness, by the girl's unseen.

With every step they take, the darkness tightens its grip,

Ensnaring them in its clutches, sealing their doomed trip.

Their voices join the chorus of the demon's whispered lies,

As they succumb to madness, to the darkness that defies.

And as the night descends into a realm of dread,

The little girl sits amongst the chaos, her soul lost and dead.

Her white dress now a symbol of the innocence she's lost,

As the demon's wicked whispers claim another soul, at any cost.
