It is not fair, but I will wait.

That we’re both awake, but I can’t feel your heart.

That as your day begins, mine ends with years of waiting added to my chart.

It is not fair, but I will wait.

That your words make my soul melt and burn, all of the desire that I’ve earned, going stagnate.

That I hear your voice whisper my name, but I cannot feel your breath caress it, all the same.

It is not fair, but I will wait.

That all that separates us is miles, but duty calls, so I put on a smile— I watch the waiting moon.

That I ache and quiver, I feel sick, with longing and hope that one day I will feel your kiss.

It is not fair, but I will wait.

Although many try and fail, take for granted what should be veiled in their hearts—This is love.

My love is not easy, and it is not kind.

Some days it will make you scream, and cry, and beg for mercy—all is my passion.

For now, we are like the sun and moon, they can never truly meet.

Day and night, our lives waiting for each other’s end, to give the other a new beginning.

It is not fair, but I will wait.

That every time I think of your words, hear your voice, that my body aches—my desire for you.

Through love, that is my strength—It is not fair, but I will wait.

For you.
