The relationship between people is indeed like knitting a sweater: it can be taken apart faster than it's knitted and lost more quickly than it's gained. Whether they're friends, lovers, or family, no matter how strong a relationship is, you need to keep in touch. Life isn't like a movie where everyone is always happy. In reality, once you miss some people, they're gone forever.

No one wants an ending of indifference and alienation. If there's someone you care about, remember to actively contact them. And if someone actively contacts you, remember to cherish them doubly.

A good relationship doesn't necessarily require meeting every day, but you should greet each other when you're free. You don't necessarily have to maintain it deliberately, but you do need to manage it with care. Don't let a good relationship be lost due to a lack of contact.
