Is This the Secret of Life?
Embracing Solitude and Self-Love
Others may leave, but you will always remain. Therefore, eat a good breakfast every day, keep flowers in your room, and occasionally buy yourself gifts. That's the secret of life. What brings peace to your life is what you want and what truly belongs to you. It doesn't have to be much, but it must be good.
We can't hold onto relationships, just as we can't hold onto our youth. Who can always accompany you? In the tapestry of human existence, everyone rides the current, each with their own destination. The end is only a matter of time.
No matter if it's a friend or a lover, if they leave, they leave. There's no need to try too hard to keep them, and no need to be overly sad. You allowed them to suddenly enter your life, so please also accept their sudden departure. Loneliness is the norm in life.
For an encounter, as long as you are not greedy, it is a gift. Meeting you was already a good fortune, so why should we spend the rest of our years missing you?
This life seems bustling with people coming and going, but in fact, it's difficult to distinguish between truth and falsehood, and gathering and separation are impermanent. The only one who can accompany you to the end is yourself. Everyone must learn to navigate sorrow and joy alone.
Don't halt your current life just because someone leaves. You have to try to let go of your obsession and then start a new life without that person, even with reluctance and regret.
At any time, don't forget to love yourself. Cherish your body and emotions, eat a hearty lunch, watch a movie, listen to a song, read a good book, and stop thinking about arguing with anyone or pleasing anyone.
When people reach a certain age, they'll find that the richness of life often begins with enjoying solitude. Because when we are immersed in quiet time, we don't have to force ourselves to cater to others, show off our cleverness, or flatter others deliberately. We can hear the voice of our heart, become our true selves, and live the life we want.
The best state of life is rich quietness. The best gift in life is not what has passed away, but what you have now: the morning sunshine, the wildflowers on the roadside, the hot tea at hand, the book by your pillow. I wish that for the rest of my life, I can be alone and at peace, free and happy.
