The Eternal Shore of Summer Love
Is summer still aglow within thy heart?
We captured the last sun rays as they fell.
Promising our warm hearts never to part,
eyes mesmerised by each other's pure spell.

The white, hot sand beneath our feet did gleam,
imprinted with footsteps of our desires.
The beach that held our very fervent dream,
shared under the eternal starry fires.

Here is the shore where I fell in deep love,
waking in thy arms as the dawn heat spun.
Gold rays of summer light shone up above,
bathing us in its everlasting sun.

Let us step across our eternal shore
and share our love's journeys forevermore.
This is the final version of the sonnet. I am a mother and an Australian author, who enjoys creating works that evoke a strong sense of place, time and connection between characters. I enjoyed exploring the timelessness of a summer romance in this piece.

Soft and soothing. It reminds us of the true value of life and the embrace of nature. No one is separated from those they truly love and, in essence, from the whole world. The inner recognition of unity is unique in this poem.
