Is She Woman Enough?
A poem by Elena Jackson-Mavrokefalos

She is who she is behind the mask of plenty. ° Elena Jackson-Mavrokefalos °
Is her hair long enough?
Is her makeup done right?
Does her highlight radiate and blind you from what she doesn't want you to see?
Because she can't let that happen.
She won't let you see her broken.
Is this what is takes to be a woman?
Are her thighs thick enough to your liking?
Are her breasts full and round?
Does her sexual prowl make you forget that she is like you, as well?
Is this what it takes to be a woman?
She's got to keep it up.
This image she puts on.
Because never will she let you think she's the odd one.
Is this what it takes to be a woman?
The world wants this.
A sex slaved beauty queen.
And never can her inner scars be seen.
This is what it takes to be a woman apparently.
