But what is Color really?
Do we see it differently ?
It really amazes me how one particular can have my blood race and fill me with serotonin and dopamine as it catches my eye,
Make me all warm and fuzzy inside, Pure adoration, and attraction arise,
Yet another I don’t even batter an eye, I don’t care for it,
In fact why does it exist?,
We have moods dear,
don’t be so rude dear,
We tell stories,
make statements, lead trends,
But combo us wrong and we’re Ugly or boring?
That’s not our fault,
But the world can’t live without us of course,
Well I’ll tell you a secret, it’s a shame you only Have a human eye,
Because from our side,
The palette you hold multiplies,
I have cousins you can’t even imagine,
So be nice to us all while you exploit us in fashion,
And don’t get us started on the thing you call SKIN.
We delivered everyone one of us with equal worth, So don’t you dare look on anyone of us like we are dirt!
It’s a privilege to all be so different,
We didn’t have to lend our shades to our neighbour you call pigment,
We didnt have to bless you with ranges of melanin that change when the sun glistens,
But we trusted that you would love us all no matter the difference!
So please…is it color you call us?
Well, every single one of us have respect and trust for the next,
We were each given purpose to deliver important messages,
To help you navigate safety and danger,
Hot and cold, Young and Old,
Freshness, ripeness, and EXPRESS
Life, and Mother Nature are our dear friends,
The lands and seas you must protect,
A world without color is something you don’t want to see , and hasn’t been seen yet…
