Is God Watching The World Burn?

Day 18/365

By Ellie HoovsPublished 12 months ago 1 min read

Brother against brother

symbols of peace

turned to hate

seeds from the apple

started these roots

that have made

towers fall

and turned stones

into piercing

brass

shells

His hands caught

my words in my throat

so no one could hear me scream

How dare you stand by

silent

while children are

shoved into

traffic.

YOU created this. How can you say

you so loved the world

but stand by

and watch it all

burn

A question I ask myself and God frequently - this is so eloquently and honestly composed.
