Is Every Goodbye a New Hello?

Embracing the Impermanence of Connections

I've always believed that the beginning and end of a relationship between people should be marked by a ceremony—a romantic start when falling in love, and a proper farewell when breaking up. Later, I discovered that most relationships between people begin inexplicably and end without any warning.

It's like when you know someone is about to leave the city, and you specifically remind them to get together one last time before they go. But after waiting a long time, you only learn that they've already left.

Perhaps you've been sad for a long time because of this, wondering: Why are our encounters always so short, but the missing lasts a lifetime? Did I do something wrong? Or am I not good enough? Why don't people cherish each other, and how can they be so cruel?

Later, I understood that some encounters are simply meant for us to gain experience, and some partings are only meant for us to learn lessons. So, whether it's a meeting or a parting, it must have its own meaning.

"Gathering and separation are impermanent, and joy and sorrow cause no harm."
