Invisible Woman

Let the silenced voices speak

In full view,

with full light,

There lies a truth,

obscured from sight.

A tale untold,

a silent cry,

Of an invisible woman,

passed by.

Relegated to a corner dim,

where whispers dwell,

Her voice fades,

like distant bells.

Bearing the weight

of unclaimed dreams,

Only the threads remain,

woven in seams.

Invisible,

though her heart beats strong,

Her dreams suppressed,

her rights, to them, a wrong.

Beneath society's shallow gaze,

Her essence lost in life's hazy maze.

They walk beside her, she, unseen, unheard,

Her struggles buried, like hidden words.

Invisible woman,

her voice denied,

Dismissed, diminished,

her worth defied.

She is not alone,

From classrooms to boardrooms,

brilliance masked, like veiled walls.

Their thoughts dismissed, their wisdom ignored.

In the streets, she sits alone,

Through judgment's eyes, her worth is stripped.

Her body invisible, mere adornment's fare,

Invisible soul, longing to breathe the air.

Yes. That's how a lot of women feel and you've captured it perfectly. Great poem, G.A.
