and the Aching

I saw him across the room standing tall

Cocky, and young

I was younger too

Eyes searching,

He side eyed me, sizing me up

Maybe my body, my face, how I reacted to him?

Maybe I did the same

Dark eyes, full lips, strength

Approval, more than approval, appreciation

Of me

Smiles

And a brief conversation, a gauge

Chests swelling and heaving,

and Knowing

Yes, I want it too

The Verve

A fervor I’ve never felt before, from him and from me

We were just warm butter, melting over what we were seeing and recognizing in each other. There was this fork in the road, and was I going to come along? I could see it was littered with beauty. Wild flowers and low hanging trees, pink skies. Perfect weather and smooth stones. We were a blank canvas and if I chose him we’d color it brightly. We’d color the skyline from sunrise to the night sky. Pinks, golds, indigo, silvers, and flashes of white brilliant.

Souls yearning

An Invisible force

A voracity I’ve never seen on anyone before, and I let him pull me in

Lips touching

I can’t remember if the fire was ignited before or during the kiss

Mouth crushing and soul exploring

With every searing flick he cast on my lips, against my mouth, into my mouth, against my tongue, I reciprocated

Sweet madness

The aching

The sweet sweet aching

Yes, we’d meet again
