A cabin in the woods found.
Basic needs met, I relax.
Curtains drawn to block the light,
Darkness is my friend.
Exhausted, I sink on the cot.
Fatigue creeps over me.
Gripping the blanket tightly, I sleep.
Heat wafts over me.
I wake to smoke.
Jolting to my feet, I panic.
Keenly aware of danger, I move.
Lunging to the door, I pause.
My hand burns on the knob.
Navigating thru smoky darkness, I find the back door,
Open to a wall of flames,
Plumes reaching to the sky.
Quieting my fear, I leap!
Rolling, I hit the ground.
Standing there is my captor.
Trapped again!
Unholy words erupt from my mouth.
Victory is his.
With a cruel laugh, I am cuffed.
Xander wins again.
Yielding once more, I submit.
Zoning out, I succumb to his drugs.
