Inspiration
There has been a long hiatus

Inspiration can be
a double edged sword,
a comforting companion to
an absent acquaintance.
-
It can be a tidal wave
of promising passion,
to a lonely tumbleweed
rolling through a desert of thoughts.
-
Inspiration is akin to
the elusive snow leopard,
when glimpsed, glorious to behold
only to fade back into the peaks.
-
So how do we wrangle
this bashful beast,
with the lasso of creativity
or the net of determination?
-
That is the question
that has plagued creatives,
since the finger first dared
to illuminate the caves.
-
So what is the answer
I'm afraid it is simple,
so brace yourselves
you cannot.
-
Simply let it flow.
