A poem about insomnia

In the darkest hours of the night,

Insomnia takes its relentless flight.

A restless mind, wide awake,

Tossed and turned, in its endless ache.

The world is hushed, enveloped in sleep,

Yet my weary eyes refuse to weep.

A dance of shadows, haunts the room,

Thoughts entangled in a relentless gloom.

Moonlight casts a pallor on my face,

As sleep eludes, a cruel embrace.

Minutes pass like endless miles,

Silent whispers, echoed trials.

In the silence, echoes start to grow,

Unanswered questions, secrets we sow.

The night becomes an empty space,

Where dreams once danced, now out of trace.

A symphony of thoughts, an anxious score,

Insomnia's grip, I can't ignore.

Counting stars, chasing elusive dreams,

While night's dominion reigns, it seems.

But as the dawn begins to break,

And shadows fade, I'm wide awake.

Another night, the battle fought,

Insomnia's hold, slowly distraught.

For in the morning's gentle light,

A new day dawns, dispelling the night.

Though sleep may flee, and rest evade,

With hope renewed, I'll face the day.
