In The Ground

You’ll always be with me

By Isabella WalkerPublished 10 months ago 1 min read

When I’m six feet in the ground

and all the little bugs

dig through to my brain

they will have a taste of you

they will get visions of you

they will smell what you smelt like

With each bite, every nibble

they will learn how I yearn

to say your name one more time

to feel your infinite touch

When they’re done

my brain eaten through

they will know what it’s like

to experience unimaginable wonders

of what it was to love you
