I long for your name to light up the golden hours,
Thinking of you as the sun sets over and over,
You once were right here every time the sun rose,
Now you are distant, like the clouds that approach.
I long for you to dance into my life again;
the way our shadows used to dance in the sandy sunsets,
when the golden hours used to sparkle our skin,
I wonder how the sunlight catches the flecks of gold in your eyes,
how you caught the flecks of my soul in your heart,
your heart made up of these flecks of adoration deeply intrenched in your being.
