Velvet antlers rise up through the brush

Scraping spiritedly on the small sapling

A twig snaps, the focus shifts

Nose twitching to decipher the scent

Pollen particles snorted outwardly……

And the dignified doe materializes

As if the light of heaven shines upon her alone

Golden Fleece, exquisite beauty

The inquisitive buck is rewarded with such a sight

With a promise of such emprise

nature poetry
