In the End

My Best

In the end,

I did my best.

Every day,

I assess

if I did meet

my daily goal.

One to ten

One,

no life

out of bed

surviving

breathing

is my best.

This too is okay.

self-care

is important too.

I still win

for that day.

A ten

is a dream

where I

run through

the fallen leaves,

playing in

a pumpkin patch,

sipping

hot cider

next to

a crackling fire.

Acceptance

that the best

doesn't need

grandeur

just the best

one can be

at one moment

one day

at a time.
