In the Dark...

Light only cast shadows.

In those shadow...

That dodge the light

Lurking behind walls

Around corners

Camouflaged

Between bushes

Behind trees.

In those shadows...

The likeness of Men

Keeping secrets.

In the Dark...

Light only cast shadows.

The shadows that hide

Decisions you have made

In the dark.

In those shadows...

Bruises appear

Beatings appear

Abductions appear.

In those shadows...

Men appear concealed

Behind masked smiles.

Great pretenders hide

In the dark shadows

Cast by the light

That shines in the dark.

In those dark shadow...

A metamorphoses occurs

Strange things happen in the dark:

Rape

Incest

Child Abuse

Domestic Violence

Human Trafficking.

In the dark...

Where secrets are kept.

In the dark...

The murder of innocence

Lost hope

Abandoned dreams...and

Silent screams.

In the dark...

Light only cast shadows.

Depression sets

Waiting to devour

Your spirit.

In the dark...

Light only cast shadows...

Of Pain

Of Sorrow

Of Grief.

In those shadow...

Resides your fears.

Poeticallyours...
