Beautiful and Missed

Today was your birthday — an elegy

Punctured heart

Ruptured dynamics,

Gaping wounds

Forever torn apart.

Tall, beautiful, a wild and vivid spark

I think of your sweet angelic face,

glittering seafoam eyes,

innocence and grace,

Tortured soul deep in the dark

A life stolen,

a life gone,

A prank, a cry — something that went wrong

I think of you each day,

Yet today I hear you louder

A solemn energy, dispersed like powder

Numbness inside as I think of you,

today;

on what would have been your earthly birthday.

    Such a beautiful, painful tribute.
