I refuse to believe I am hopeless In my obsession

In my obsession
I am hopeless
I refuse to believe
That the light of hope will shine
I tend to assume from the stories I now perceive
I am trapped in confusion and misery
It is only a fallacy that…
Everything will be fine
I am alone
It is pointless to think
I can be liberated from stone
The walls hold unbreakable strength
I flinch at the reminding pain, still I don’t believe
My heart and soul will heal again
This feeling has consumed me
There's nothing anyone can say to change my mind
When I’ve reached the bottom…
I work my way back up to the top

I can really relate to feeling hopeful and disillusioned at the same time! This is a really clever structure.
