In my head, there's a riot
Sometimes, I wish it was quiet
So much going on all the time
Words and stories
Songs and movies
Brainstorming constantly
Barnstorming ideas
Thoughts and feelings
Missteps and mistakes
Memories and memorials
Worries on worries on worries
Anxieties followed by more anxieties
All those times that I've lied
Those three times I could have died
Drowning in disappointment
Suffocating in self-loathing
Where is the off switch?

Awesome work!
Indeed. That off switch would be great, wouldn't it? A very open, honest piece. I feel so much of this myself. Glad you expressed it and shared :)
There is definitely a riot in my head, as well. Some really powerful lines in here, my friend!
If you find the off switch, please let me know! Loved this!
I can relate so much. Great work!
Great work, Paul! Im also casting my vote for an off switch!!
This is great. Well done, as always.
Great piece Paul. Love it and the title is bank!
I usually have to settle for the pause button.
Thanks for sharing. I find writing is my off switch. Or at least it's a different kind of on switch! I'm guessing the effect may be similar for you?
Excellent! ❤️
Very relatable and well written, of course. I could use an off switch for my own thoughts as well!
