In My Crystal Ball I Seen It All

A murderer, but fate saved my friend

In My Crystal Ball I Seen It All

In my crystal ball, the shadows twist,

A man steps forth, into a rising mist.

His eyes are blank, his soul undone,

He walks the path where evil’s begun.

A blade gleams bright in his cruel embrace;

No shred of pity to show on his face.

The air is thick with death’s decree,

And all he wants is misery.

My best friend’s laughter, a fading sound,

Soon to be silenced, soon to be drowned.

The crystal ball trembles, the vision stays,

A curse, a truth that time betrays.

I see his hand, I see the strike,

A predator born of hate’s dark spike.

No savior comes, no light breaks through;

The crystal shows what fate must do.

With fear in my heart, I await the call,

The weight of fate that crushes all.

Yet within an hour, my doorbell rings.

My friend appears, my heart sings.

She didn’t go to that Facebook date;

Somehow she managed to save her fate.

The car broke down on her way to him,

A last reprieve from a night so grim.

I told her then of my crystal ball’s sight,

The vision that warned of her last night.

She got rid off Facebook right away,

Knowing my ball is always right.

Her life was spared, a twist of fate,

A darkness stopped before it was too late.

The man still waits in shadows deep,

Safe my friend lives, her soul to keep.

I told the police of the Facebook freak;

They just laughed and turned the other cheek.

Now there’s nothing I can do to help others

Just thinking of him, it make me have shivers.
