In Loving Memory of My Little Musician

Little wings, an endless flight, and a song beyond the skies are all within reach.

Once,

Bright wide eyes—forever gleaming,

Songs you sang—so sweet, so streaming.

A restless spirit, young and spry,

You—my little love, my buzzing hive.

Chaos-maker—never still,

Screeches sharp, your boundless will.

Fussing, pecking, wild with pride,

You—my little love, my noisy guide.

Today,

Stillness where your flutter flew,

No more spark in eyes so true.

Frail and quiet, head in my palm,

You—once my light, my daily calm.

No more screeching, nor soft tune,

Only silence in this quiet room.

You lie so still, beyond my cries,

My little love, beneath the skies.

Life’s unsure—and that’s for sure,

Yours, a little more than mine.

So tiny, fragile—yet bursting with zeal,

My little hope, always ready to heal.

I wish you the wide blue skies,

Big, fluffy clouds so soft, so real.

A life unbounded, ever bold—

Completely fearless, completely free.

Fly so high, beyond the skies,

Find what you truly love.

The sweetest fruits, the blooming flowers—

Wherever you land, you’ll sprinkle hope.

May the sunshine warm your coldest days,

Cool breezes and trees to shade summer’s blaze.

May peace, love, and joy surround you whole,

With kind little friends who fill your soul.

With all the other little musicians,

Gather and sing—a song so bright.

A chorus of love in eternal light,

Beautiful, vibrant—just like you.
