In love, we dare hope.
an abecedarian poem
Archaic love bound in flesh,
Beseeches in youthful desire,
Clamorous, fumbling oafish ways,
Dreaming in golden lit fire.
.
Enamored with passion- I make my plea,
Fueling a sodden lost match,
Genuine but broken my heart doth decree!
Heaven-sent, my angel dispatched.
.
Invigored in truth, I'll cry to the sky,
Jeweled creation, astounding in form,
Knowing not how to breathe in this world,
Limp rotting heart you did transform.
.
Mighty and swift, a companion brought low,
Neither pliant nor flexing- I submit.
Occasion begets a longing in lust,
Perhaps it is you I can’t quit.
.
Quacking and trembling in forceful stance,
Regardless of blistering heat,
Say it to you, my love I will cherish
To death do us part, I entreat.
.
Ubiquitous craving drowning in ardor,
Veracious soul chambered within,
Will you answer my call if I scream my intentions?
Xena, please- won’t you please- let me in?
.
Yes- the word, let it fall from sweet lips, in waiting and wanting in hope,
Zealous and fruitful our lives will unfurl- If you would but concede to elope.
