In His mercy, I believe
Day 6/30: A series where I write a poem every single day for 30 days.

When I'm hurt inside, I go to my Only friend
Yes, despite a lot of friends, He's the only one who mends
I remember my hands shaking and my soul dying
He held me like no one, wiped my tears while crying
But, I am a greedy one, I'm a 'selfish' in a whirl
I get comfort from Him, and He treats me like a pearl
And when it comes to remembering Him, I act dumb and fool
I forget Him, as if I never ran to Him when I had no fuel
How could someone be so Big, Greatest in MERCY?
I ignored Him a hunderd times and He still will forgive me!
I know this world will call me a criminal for a mistake I made
And He'll forgive all lakes of my sins, oceans of every shade
I won't be able to repay Him ever
I can't count His blessings, If I triedβNever!
He's the only cape I'll never want to leave
He's my God and yours, in His mercy, I believe
.
A/N:
Allah says in the Quran:
And when affliction touches man, he calls upon Us, whether lying on his side or sitting or standing; but when We remove from him his affliction, he continues as if he had never called upon Us to remove an affliction that touched him... [π Surah Yunus (10:12)]
Yet His mercy still says,
Say, βO My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful. [π Surah AzβZumar (39:53)]

A beautiful tribute to the Most High, Maryam β€οΈ May Allah answer all your duas ππ
These are great words written in devotion to Allah; confession makes it even more meaningful and beautiful!! And I agree with Caitlin.
You're on fire with these poems Maryam. What a perfect poem of both gratitude and self awareness. I especially love this line, 'and he will forgive all lakes of my sin, ocean of every shade' each word here compliments the other and the transition from each word was smooth. Intentional and impactful. 'In his mercy I believe' this line sounds like a breath that was let out. Almost like you've reduced yourself from selfishness to surrender. Outstanding devotional poem Maryam β€οΈπ€
